About the Course

Askdoc USMLE Step 1 Prep Courses impart comprehensive knowledge and understanding of USMLE course content and test taking skills needed to do well in the USMLE Step 1 Examination. 

Comprehensive Coverage

The course involves extensive coverage of all 7 subjects tested in the USMLE Step 1. Students are expected to do 3 major revisions of all & subjects in a span of 6 months including comprehensive practice with online q banks. The first revision is expected to be finished in 3 months. You will be taught essential test-taking skills to improve performance and timing.

Intensive Assignments

The course involves intensive home study with live online lectures and chat session to discuss important learning and test strategies as well as tackle any problems encountered by the students during course work. Download Sample Prep Course Schedule.

Focus on Improving Study Methods

The importance of improved study methods to help maximize learning and optimize performance in the exam cannot be emphasized enough. Students must be prepared to change their study methods in order for the course to help them. We have identified the most common problems students have in study methodology and organized them into 6 groundbreaking live online lectures to help you with how to study, scheduling and test taking strategies. • Online chapter by chapter quiz

• Online Flashcard resources for quick review

• Course organizer and reading materials on organizing your study plan and schedule

• Reading materials on how to prep and study to optimize performance

• Reading materials on strategies and time management on test-taking

• Supplementary review materials from other sources

Course Details

You can now enroll in the course anytime. You will have access to all course materials for 9 months including online resources , chat sessions and the lectures. The suggested schedule for the course is 6 months. This allows you flexibility in scheduling your prep.

Lectures

There are a total of 6 1.5 hour lectures in the course. The lectures are scheduled every Tuesday at 6 pm Pacific Time. Each series lasts for 6 weeks and the series begins again every other month. So long as you are still enrolled in the course, you can join the lectures as many times as you want. See actual Schedule for Lectures.

Group Chat Sessions

Group chat sessions are held every Monday 6 pm Pacific Time. These chat sessions are important in that this is where we discuss your progress and recommend changes to your study methods and schedule as needed depending on how you are progressing. This is actually a very important part of the course and participation in the chat sessions correlate very well with successful review. You have access to Group Chat Sessions for the 9 months duration of your enrollments

Online Course Materials

You have access to all available online course materials for the 9 months duration of your enrollment. You will also have access to any new online course materials that may be introduced within the 9 month duration of your enrollment. You are however responsible for procuring resources not provided in the course.

Forum and PM Support

You have full 9 months access to Forum and PM support. Your questions will usually be answered within 24 to 48 hours during weekdays and longer during weekends. Please understand that we are in different time zones and therefore take that into consideration since I am not awake 24/7.

Course Fees

The tuition fee of US$ 600 includes 9 month access to online resources and online support. It also includes 6 weekly online lecture sessions and access to weekly group chat for the whole 9 months. Upon registration you will receive an email confirmation with course details and instructions on what to do to start the course.  Read our refund policy.

You can now attend the 6 Live Lecture only for US$ 200. If you decide to eventually enroll in the full course within 2 months, you are entitled to a credit of US$100 to enroll in the full course.
